Archbishop of Manila Cardinal Luis Antonio Tagle gives a heartfelt message during Caritas Manila’s Appreciation Ceremony
An unexpected heartwarming surprise came to Primer Group of Companies last August 28, 2019. For supporting Caritas Manila’s programs for its beneficiary children, Primer Group received heartfelt gratitude from the said organization during their Appreciation Ceremony in Intramuros, Manila.
Led by Manila Archbishop Luis Antonio G. Tagle, the ceremony gathered all those who have been genuinely supporting Caritas Manila.
In his message, Tagle said that he is very thankful to all donors who are continuously supporting the social mission of the church.
Their gratitude goes out to all Primer employees, especially to those who have dropped donations in boxes in front of the Bridgeway Canteen, and to all brands that have donated their products instead of throwing them out for depletion. These goodwill have already reached children in need of support for their education, as these donated pre-loved items are given to Caritas Manila to serve as items for sale in their Segunda Mana Store. Proceeds from this store go to their Education Program that supports children’s school needs such as tuition fees, school supplies, books, school projects, lodging, transportation expense, and servant leadership program.
Tagle also shared that through their Education Program, poor but deserving members of the youth are given a fighting chance to earn college, vocational, or technical degrees that can help them lift their families out of poverty.
Primer Group of Companies shall continue to fulfill its role in the society through its corporate social responsibility programs, with the help of its employees who also believe in the company’s vision for the community it operates in.
