JanSport Philippines launched a podcast last April 29, 2025 that talks about student life and trends.
JanSport Unzipped is a dynamic and engaging podcast that discusses all things back to school from nostalgia to what’s current. The podcast aims to connect with its audience that relates to their previous and current experiences in school with entertaining discussions regarding the present trends and cultures.
The podcast is aired every other Tuesday at 7:30 pm and talks about different back-to-school trends throughout the years and the differences between generations. As JanSport is present throughout the many and different journeys, the objective was to connect with their audience and start conversation on the different opinions each generation has. This aims to create a new and wider perspective and an understanding of the different generations.
In the first episode, the hosts discussed the essentials students bring to school and the trends that came along with it during the years. The hosts talked about the different classes reflected based on the materials one has during back-to-school such as having the pencil cases with a calculator during grade school. The hosts also talked about their preferences in writing notes, especially with the digital age.
Overall, the hosts touched on nostalgia with 90s and 2000s references and the current trend with the digital age. This thoughtful contrast between past and present offered a meaningful reflection of the different generations and how they have affected one another and was a great way for JanSport to connect with their audiences – past and present.
