Mitchell & Ness started in 1904 in Philadelphia, USA when former tennis and wrestling champ Frank P. Mitchell partnered with Scottish golfer Charles M. Ness to open a sporting goods store specializing in handcrafted tennis racquets, golf clubs and other equipment. The company went on to making uniforms for local Philly baseball and football teams before taking the big leap to producing accurate, vintage and authentic baseball jerseys and apparel.
