The North Face opens its first stand-alone store in Baguio

Located at the Lower Ground Floor, SM Baguio, the first stand-alone store of The North Face launched on July 12, 2019 in a jam-packed one-day celebration.
In the morning, The North Face mounted a 5-kilometer trail run around Camp John Hay led by TNF100 2016 3rd Placer, James Tellias, and local veteran trail runner, Vic Salvador. This morning activity aimed to engage with the outdoor community in the Baguio-Benguet setting, especially those who look forward to TNF100 this 2019.
Prior to the trail run, registration happened in Recreational Outdoor eXchange (R.O.X.) Camp John Hay and first 15 people to register were only entertained. These lucky participants got freebies and an exclusive pass to the store opening’s media launch in the afternoon. A lot of trail runners came to secure a slot and were already waiting just before R.O.X. Camp John Hay opened.
To officially open the store, ribbon cutting ceremony was held and graced by SM Baguio’s Mall Manager Rona Vida Correa, Tenant Relations Manager Irene Pasabing, and Leasing Manager Arlene Castillo, alongside The North Face Philippines Brand Executive Renz Que, Regional Brand Manager Rafael Micu, and Cluster Operations Head Jonelle Gomez.
THE NORTH FACE NEW FOOTWEAR TECHNOLOGY – FASTFOAM AND XTRAFOAM
During the launch, The North Face announced its new footwear technologies which provide runners with support in an all-round way. Xtrafoam offers highly efficient cushioning by absorbing the shock and deliver excellent comfort underfoot. Fastfoam releases enough energy for return, and proprietary dual-density mid-sole system provides responsive energy.
COMEBACK OF TNF100
TNF100, the first ultra trail running marathon series in the Asia-Pacific region comes back in Baguio-Benguet, Philippines in October 19-20, 2019. During The North Face SM Baguio’s store opening, Brand Executive Renz Que shared that TNF100 race participants will be tasked to complete up to 100 kilometers of endurance running set in various terrains of Cordillera Region. With the support of John Hay Management Corporation (JHMC) and Ayala Techno Hub, Base camp and starting point is set in Camp John Hay.
Limited edition TNF100 Ultra Endurance II footwear will be sold at 30% off exclusively in our SM Baguio store until supplies last in celebration of grand store opening in SM Baguio and a welcome gift in time for TNF100.
